We always use the words ‘cheap and best’ but rarely seem to use them. We can rarely trust products that are cheap to be one of the best. But here is a product that has lasted for over a century and still is the epitome of the tag ‘cheap and best’.

Of course, Fels Naptha is primarily a string laundry cleaner. But you would need to have more than one bar of it if you come to know how useful it can be for other cleaning and deodorizing purposes.

It can clean your tiles, your leather furniture, chocolate stains, and whatnot. And it offers all that at an incredibly low price. But is it all too good to be true? Before learning about incredible Fels Naptha cleaning hacks, it’s essential to know whether the soap is safe to use.

Is Fels Naptha safe?

Fels Naptha was extremely popular in its early days but lost its market share after world war II. The early use of Naptha was abandoned in the product after research found it to be cancerous. That isn’t an issue anymore.

But it’s still a harsh laundry cleaner and can cause eye and skin irritation on prolonged usage. You shouldn’t use the bar on your skin, and if you want to wash clothes with a bar for long hours, you should look for more skin-friendly soap bars.

Having said that, it’s all fine unless you aren’t using it for a few hours on your skin. Using it for all the purposes we share won’t harm your skin, but you should avoid its contact with your eyes.
