Summer is almost here, well with just a month left for onset I can say it’s around the corner. And Summer means Beach Season. Well, some people plan trips as well, but almost everyone hits the beach at least once during summer, don’t you? Everyone desires to look good and be beach ready before they hit the beach in summer.
It’s totally legit to have the goal of looking good at the beach but you would want to achieve that without a strict diet and hardcore workout regime. That’s completely natural. And that’s why I looked for easy and practical fitness ideas to help you lose some pounds before you hit the beach.
Shared below are some of the easiest and wonderful ideas which give great results and boost confidence. Be beach ready by getting that healthy and toned body before the heat hits.
INCREASE WATER INTAKE
Water is the best way to quench thirst without adding calories to the body unlike diet sodas and sports drinks. Drinking more water increases metabolism, hydrates your body as well as helps with weight loss. Drinking more water is linked to reduced calorie intake because you ditch other calorie based sodas and drinks and drink water. It’s important to stay properly hydrated during summer, so water does two jobs here.
EAT RIGHT AND EAT SLOW
This is a common misconception among people that if you need to lose weight then you have to cut on food and eat less. The fact is eating less will boost your cravings and more hungry which will make you overeat. Instead, eat food in shorter intervals and focus on nutritious and healthy food. Instead of having 3 large meals in a day, have 6 smaller meals which will keep you full throughout the day. Also, inculcate a habit to eat slowly and mindfully. When you eat slowly, you pay more attention to the feeling of fullness which will help you eat less and lose weight.
SAY NO TO LATE NIGHT BINGING
It’s very tempting to have some chocolates or chips while watching a movie on a late night weekend. But if you want to lose weight, you have to resist this temptation or you will gain weight instead of losing. If you need something to binge on during the movie, have some mixed nuts or sliced fruit but keep in mind that moderation is key. These are healthy snacks and will not hinder your weight loss journey.
AVOID FAST FOOD
Fast Food will make you gain weight faster instead of losing weight. Fast food is definitely convenient, but its full of calories and carbs which are the biggest enemies of weight loss. And I would choose better body over convenience anytime, what’ll you choose? In Addition to health, avoiding fast food will also save you money.
A GOOD SLEEP
Even if you have the very best diet and fitness regime, if you are not getting proper sleep, you’re wrecked. Sleep is like nutrition for your brain, most people need at least 7-8 hours of sleep. Sleep controls your diet and lack of sleep makes you crave food and also makes you tired. Yes, you cannot control your hunger by willpower, even if you can, lack of sleep even affects your willpower negatively.
Sleep also helps in mitigating stress ( stress makes you gain weight). I would go off-topic if I start more about sleep, but I would just say sleep is the most important thing for the body
Even if you know that you need to do all these things for weight loss, it can be hard to lose weight if you are not motivated to actually make these healthier choices. Your mental outlook plays a key role in successful weight loss. So, stay motivated and make these healthy choices if you really need your body to be summer ready.
